FEBRUARY/MARCH 200

Happy New Year!! I hope that everyone had a safe and happy New Year and has a Valentine’s Day surrounded by the ones you love. I enjoyed seeing everyone at either the Hunt Test and/or the Shows in Ladson. If anyone has any new ideas for the newsletter, I would love to hear from them. This will be the first month we are putting the newsletter on the website, so hopefully you are reading this on-line and all went well.
If you still need a hardcopy, please let me know. Hope to see you all at the GCWC Field Trial the first weekend
in March in Monroe, NC. 336-984-3320 or

If we can do anything, for any of you, please do not hesitate to ask.

MAILBOX Thank you!!

I just wanted to write and tell you what a great time we had at the Charleston Hunt Test. You have a very warm and hospitable club. You should be proud of the excellent manner in which you hosted this event.

Again thanks and we will definitely be looking to comeback on other events that you and your organization host.

Sincerely, Jay Gilligan

RESCUE REPORT

Debbie still has the one Rescue dog in need of a home. It is a year old male that was living in an apt. He had too much energy for his environment. (Imagine that!) He is in a foster home and is ok there for the time being and they will do some obedience work with him.

I still have "Libby" and have had several inquiries for her, but they all have other dogs. "Libby" needs a quiet home with no other dogs or cats. She is almost 4 yrs old and blind since birth, but gets around very well.

Call or e-mail Debbie to tell her how you would like to help Rescue today!! 843-559-9836

Dog And Philosophy
DOG PROPERTY LAWS:
1.  If I like it, it's mine.
2.  If it's in my mouth, it's mine.
3.  If I can take it from you, it's mine.
4.  If I had it a little while ago, it's mine.
5.  If it's mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way.
6.  If I'm chewing something up, all the pieces are mine.
7.  If it just looks like mine, it's mine.
8.  If I saw it first, it's mine.
9.  If it's broken, it's yours.

LIFE LESSONS LEARNED FROM A DOG:
1.  If you stare at someone long enough, eventually you'll get what you want.
2.  Don't go out without ID.
3.  Be direct with people: let them know exactly how you feel by piddling on their shoes.
4.  Be aware of when to hold your tongue and when to use it.
5.  Leave room in your schedule for a good nap.
6.  Always give people a friendly greeting.  A cold nose in the crotch is effective.
7.  When you do something wrong, always take responsibility...as soon as you're dragged out
   from under the bed.
8.  If it's not wet and sloppy, it's not a real kiss.
